Flexible lifting solutions in action

HLV Fairplayer recently completed the discharge of three project cargo modules in Rotterdam. Weighing 105, 156 and 280 tonnes respectively, the modules were safely lifted from the vessel and placed onto an awaiting barge.

For the operation, Fairplayer’s two 900-tonne-capacity cranes were used in combination with a specially designed modular lifting frame. The frame was originally developed for the SASOL project in 2017 to accommodate modules of different sizes and lifting configurations.

Years later, the equipment continues to demonstrate its versatility. Its modular design allows it to be adapted to different cargo requirements, providing a flexible solution for complex heavy lift operations.

The Rotterdam discharge is another example of how JSI Alliance combines specialised vessels, lifting equipment and operational expertise to develop solutions tailored to individual project requirements.
