Heavy lift transport for specialised port equipment

Jumbo’s HLV Fairlane has successfully transported a fully assembled Eco Hopper from Brindisi, Italy, to Rostock, Germany.

Weighing 249 tonnes and measuring 24 × 17.4 × 24.8 metres, the large structure was shipped fully assembled, requiring careful planning and heavy lift expertise throughout loading, transport and discharge.

Eco Hoppers are specialised mobile port equipment designed for the dust-controlled unloading of dry bulk materials from vessels. Transporting the unit in its assembled condition enabled it to arrive at its destination without the need for extensive assembly following delivery.

After loading the Eco Hopper in Brindisi, Fairlane transported the cargo north to Germany. The vessel transited the Kiel Canal before arriving in Rostock, where the unit was safely discharged.

The project demonstrates JSI Alliance’s ability to provide reliable transport solutions for large and complex port equipment, combining specialised heavy lift vessels with experienced crews and project cargo expertise.
