A 1,122-tonne stinger was delivered from Indonesia to Italy and safely discharged in Genoa.

The heavy lift vessel Fairmaster has successfully discharged a 1,122-tonne stinger in Genoa, Italy, following transport from Karimun, Indonesia.

The delivery marks the final stage of a complex heavy lift shipment supporting offshore operations.

The stinger, a large structural frame used in offshore installation activities, required detailed planning throughout both loading and discharge phases.

As with the initial loading, the discharge operation involved intricate 3D engineering planning to ensure all lifting clearances were calculated accurately. The lift was executed with a strong focus on safety, maintaining full control throughout the operation.

Handling cargo of this size and complexity highlights the importance of precise engineering and experienced crews in delivering offshore components safely and efficiently across long distances.
