Combi Dock I Transports Wind Turbine Towers from Seville
Shallow draught operations connect inland production sites with offshore wind projects.
Shallow waters.
Offshore delivery.
Wind turbine towers are transported from Seville to Northern Europe aboard Combi Dock I.
The heavy lift vessel Combi Dock I is transporting wind turbine towers from Seville, Spain, to Northern Europe, supporting offshore wind developments.
The operation highlights the vessel’s ability to operate efficiently between inland waterways and offshore installation sites.
Sailing from the shallow waters of the Guadalquivir River to the open North Sea, each voyage requires careful planning and precise execution. With her shallow draught and three onboard cranes, Combi Dock I is ideally suited to bridge the gap between inland production facilities and offshore wind projects.
The vessel is currently operating under long-term charter for Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, supporting large-scale developments such as the East Anglia THREE offshore wind project.
By enabling the transport of key components like turbine towers, Combi Dock I contributes to the expansion of renewable energy infrastructure across Europe.
