Vessel updates
Shortly after joining the SAL fleet, MV Sophie has completed her first port call in Europe, arriving in Esbjerg, Denmark.
The vessel handled cargo for an offshore renewable energy project, marking a strong start to her operational deployment.
Operating under winter conditions, MV Sophie safely discharged cargo destined to become part of offshore energy infrastructure at sea.
Equipped with two 250-tonne cranes and a combined lifting capacity of 500 tonnes, the vessel is well suited for handling offshore-related cargo. Her spacious box-shaped holds further support efficient transport of complex components.
The first call highlights the vessel’s immediate integration into offshore wind logistics within the JSI Alliance network, demonstrating her role in supporting renewable energy projects from the outset.
With a successful first operation completed, MV Sophie is now set to continue her deployment across further heavy lift and project cargo assignments.
