SAL has expanded its fleet with the addition of MV Alma, a deck carrier vessel designed for transporting floating and offshore cargo.

The acquisition strengthens SAL’s position in the specialised deck carrier segment.

With her semi-submersible capabilities, MV Alma is well suited for handling complex offshore transport projects and large floating cargo. The vessel’s design allows for efficient loading and transport of oversized structures that require specialised handling solutions.

Key features include a large deck space of 134 × 44 metres, a deadweight of 24,629 tonnes, and a uniform deck strength of 20 t/m², enabling the safe transport of heavy and complex cargo.

With a maximum submerged deck draught of 7.5 metres, MV Alma is capable of supporting a wide range of offshore operations. Fully equipped for worldwide service, she further expands SAL’s ability to offer flexible and tailored transport solutions.
