Hilke arrives in Shanghai with global cargo aboard
From Freetown and Mobile to the heart of Shanghai – a striking JSI Alliance delivery on the Huangpu River
Global reach.
Local precision.
MV Hilke made a stunning arrival in Shanghai, passing the iconic Pudong skyline with a 580-ton fishery research vessel from Sierra Leone and over 2,700 steel plates from the USA. A picture-perfect moment for global heavy lift logistics.
A striking scene on the Huangpu River: MV Hilke arrived in Shanghai with a uniquely diverse deck cargo – a 580-ton fishery research vessel from Freetown, Sierra Leone, and 2,777 steel plates from Mobile, Alabama, USA. Altogether, the cargo amounted to an impressive 4,496 tons.
Sailing past Shanghai’s world-famous Bund and Pudong skyline, Hilke’s arrival turned heads – and cameras. The moment was beautifully captured by photographer Rong Zhou and others, underlining the power and precision of global logistics in motion.
This voyage reflects what the JSI Alliance stands for: connecting continents through reliable transport solutions, whether it’s high-value special cargo or large-volume steel freight. The operation not only demonstrated technical expertise but also highlighted seamless coordination across continents, time zones, and cargo types.
Thank you to everyone involved for another successful milestone in our mission to move big things – smartly, safely, and worldwide.
