Connecting the project cargo community in Rotterdam

Three busy days, countless conversations and plenty of familiar and new faces: Breakbulk Europe 2026 once again proved to be an important meeting point for the international heavy lift and project cargo industry.

Throughout the event, the JSI Alliance team welcomed customers, partners and industry colleagues at our stand in Hall 2. Discussions ranged from current and upcoming projects to the wider developments shaping global heavy lift and project logistics.

The programme also provided opportunities to share expertise beyond the exhibition floor. Dr. Martin Harren, Owner & CEO of Harren Group, joined the panel discussion “Geopolitics in Action: The Domino Effect on Trade Routes”, exploring how geopolitical developments are reshaping global trade routes, project cargo flows and risk allocation across key international corridors.

SAL Engineering Managing Director Karsten Behrens and Director Engineering Jörg Lamers also contributed to the event programme, leading a Heavy Lift Workshop on the fundamentals and challenges of project cargo logistics.

Alongside the technical discussions and business meetings, there was plenty of room for informal exchange. Our happy hour brought guests and the JSI Alliance team together for networking, conversations and a memorable live percussion performance.

A big thank you to everyone who visited us, joined our sessions and spent time with the JSI Alliance team throughout the event. We leave Rotterdam with many valuable conversations to continue – and look forward to meeting the project cargo community again soon.
