SAL has welcomed MV Sophie, a brand-new F500 multipurpose vessel, to its growing fleet.

Owned by Auerbach Schiffahrt GmbH & Co. KG, MV Sophie represents a new generation of flexible tonnage within the SAL fleet.

Equipped with two 250-tonne cranes, providing a combined lifting capacity of 500 tonnes, MV Sophie is designed to handle a wide range of heavy lift, breakbulk and multipurpose cargo.

With strong cargo intake and modern design features, the vessel supports efficient and reliable operations across global trade routes. As a sister vessel to MV Svend, she forms part of a broader fleet development focused on increasing flexibility and capacity.

The addition of MV Sophie marks another milestone in SAL’s ongoing fleet expansion, reinforcing its ability to deliver tailored transport solutions for complex project cargo.
