A 370-tonne cryostat tank was transported from China to France aboard MV Wiebke for the ITER fusion project.

The JSI Alliance has successfully delivered a 370-tonne cryostat tank and accessories from Zhangjiagang, China, to Fos, France, supporting the ITER fusion project.

The shipment was carried out for Daher Transport SAS and contributes to one of the world’s most ambitious scientific energy initiatives.

Transported aboard MV Wiebke, the cargo required precise engineering and execution. Due to its size and complexity, the shipment was handled last-in/first-out, ensuring safe and efficient discharge upon arrival.

The cryostat tank forms part of the ITER project, a global collaboration aimed at advancing fusion energy as a sustainable energy source. Handling such high-value and sensitive components requires careful coordination across all stages of transport.

By combining technical expertise with global reach, the JSI Alliance continues to deliver tailored heavy lift solutions for complex industrial and scientific projects worldwide.
